FFR-1 is a unique robot designed for high-risk fire fighting
missions. It allows firefighters to carry out very difficult
operations which were previously impossible due to physical
limitations.
The FFR-1 is a double-tracked, remote-controlled, simple-to-use
robot. It carries a monitor which allows firefighters to operate
it with precision. It also allows them to use firefighting
measures in closer proximity to the fire source than would
previously have been possible.
Since direct line-of-sight is not necessary for the robot’s
precision operation, firefighters remain protected from hazardous
environmental conditions. The mechanical structure of the robot’s
tracks and its powerful motor and batteries create an unstoppable
remote controlled fire fighter.
Applications
- Fire fighting in
hazardous environmental conditions such as high temperatures,
toxic fumes and unstable physical structures
